Signatures

The Digital Signatures used in our system, daRwin, are carrying legal effects and are used for your acceptance proof for different Documents like Proposals, Estimates and Contracts.

Signing a Document is a result of encrypting some elements like your graphic sign (representation) of your real signature, your name and last name, your email address, the date and time when you signed the Document and also the IP Address used to determine the exact coordinations of your device's location used in the process of signing.

You can't sign a Document without being logged-in, so your encrypted password is also used to validate a signature.

All these elements, combined, conduct to verifying and validating a signature in daRwin.

FAQ

Q: How secure is this process?

A: At the time when writing this article, there are 0 (zero) errors or frauds related to Document Signatures. This doesn't mean that the system is perfect so we are improving our methods constantly in order to keep up with the latest security trends and best practices.

Q: Can a Document be signed by another person (other then the CEO, Administrator or legal representative) of My Company? A person that doesn't have the right to sign agreements in the name of My Company?

A: No. Signatures can be placed only by the main account/s of Your Company. The only accounts that have this right. If you have a legal representative or a legal department in Your Company, you can request the creation of additional accounts for Your Company. You can learn more about How to add secondary accounts from this article.

Q: I don't like my graphic representation of my signature. Can I replace it?

A: No. That's just a unique graphic. It's like a fingerprint. No 2 signatures are the same and you won't be able to reproduce the same graphic sign twice. Also, once a Document is signed, that respective Document starts to produce Legal Effects on one hand, and also, unlocks work processes and workflows that can't be stopped without Legal Responsibility (eg: The allocation and booking of your Team Members assigned for Your Project), on the other.

Q: I have a legal representative hired or contracted by My Company. How can I delegate that person to sign all of my Legal Documents?

A: You'll need to scan the original documents sign in ink, which attests this delegation and send them on [email protected] with all the details. In case that person doesn't have an account on daRwin (different then your's), a new account will be created. Only after verifying all the documents, that Account will receive permission in daRwin to sign Legal Documents.
